From Canada to Tuscia

“My passion for food and hospitality began when I was only 15, in my family café.

When I was 20, after my graduation, I flew to Canada to be closer to Martina and I immediately found a job in a bakery, which was a perfect fit for me.

I also started working as a bartender and met other Italians, who, like me, had come to Canada looking for new opportunities. Together, we founded “Casa Italia”. I was full of hope and enthusiasm and I finally felt freer and more alive than ever.

After our child was born, on a trip back to Italy, we decided to take this leap of faith and open our own little place in Tuscania. We were making our dream come true.

After all the professional experience we amassed, it was clear what we wanted to create: a laid-back, dynamic, young and bubbly restaurant, with the aim of offering a unique and ambitious offering, which would stand out from the crowd, a new fusion of tradition and innovation.

Our vision had a legacy from our 10 years in North America, a completely different world from the one we found ourselves in once we returned to our hometown. There were initial difficulties, wrong turns and failures, but our will and willingness to believe in our project never faltered and everything paid off.

Today, we lead Cichi’s Ristobistrot with trust, collaboration and passion. Our shared passions and values define our goals, which we share with our trusted, young staff, the backbone of the restaurant and our secret weapon.

Our mission is to cook, look after our guests and allow them to enjoy the atmosphere at Cichi’s Ristobistrot.”

We stopped in Tuscania on the way to Naples to find the most picturesque Italian borgo, which was a delight to explore. We stopped with kids (5 and 9y) for dinner at Cichi’s, just a few minutes from the stunning Parco Torre di Lavello and ladies and gentlemen we may have found our favourite Italian restaurant! The kids had a gourmet burger and we had a full culinary experience from uovo barzotto, pan-fried shrimps, octopus extravaganza to ricotta with chocolate crumbs and amazing white wine. Find this place before everyone else does!

The best place to eat in Tuscania. You must try the shrimps. Just wow We took a table outside, grab bottle of wine for only 20euros and from there everything went so fabulous. The team were so professional, the food were excellent and the dessert at the end closed everything with big smile. There are 33 restaurants in Tuscania and this is the one you should choose.
